The History of the III Corps & Fort Hood, Texas Sergeant Audie Murphy Club

The III Corps & Fort Hood, Texas Sergeant Audie Murphy Club was organized by the United States Army III Corps Commanding General and Command Sergeant on 1986 at Fort Hood, Texas.

CSM Horvath, Mr. Jean, and Mr. Don Moore were instrumental in the foundation of the first Sergeant Audie Murphy Club in the Army, which enhanced and supported the installation’s core of Non-Commissioned Officers and the NCO Support Channel.

Since the organization of the III Corps Sergeant Audie Murphy Club in 1986, it has been educating, mentoring, and recruiting elite Non-Commissioned Officers from the all Army branches.  The club supports Fort Hood and its surrounding communities by volunteering their time and working with other community organizations.
